springing forward

Yesterday, I stepped out into the 65 degree warmth and couldn’t help but get excited for spring. I’ll take blue, sunny skies at the end of the day, even if that means losing an hour of precious sleep. I got thinking about the gardener in me, or lack thereof, and reusing some old tomato cans as planters to spruce up my home with (low maintenance) greens. As a city apartment dweller, I am always appreciative of wandering into a garden hidden underneath the wear and tear of urban life. There is something beautiful about the juxtaposition, like an herb garden happily thriving on the fire escape overhead noisy traffic. These images I found of vertical gardens mixed with industrial spaces give me this same feeling… seems like a perfect oasis for saying “I do.”
