I spent this past Saturday at Angela Liguori’s charming studio in Brookline. She kindly hosted us and other local printers and stationers for her annual “For the Love of Letterpress” event. The fun group included Isabel and Kate of Of Note Stationers, Shelley of Albertine Press, Rachel of Robinson Press, and Breck of Sesame Letterpress. You couldn’t ask for better company.
You may have heard of Angela because she sells the most drool-worthy Italian ribbon. If you're anything like me, you'll want a spool in every single color and style. We always love sharing our work and knowledge about printing with the community. And getting to spend the day surrounded by such beautiful things definitely made it even more of a pleasure!
Lovers of letterpress and fans of Angela’s Italian ribbon (and her husband’s espresso!) filtered in all afternoon. Rachel‘s letterpress demo using a Kelsey table top press was also a huge hit. You can check out this video to see her in action! There were many brave attendees who lined up to work the press and pull their very own print.
It was a great crowd; people were asking questions about the design and printing process, stocking up on their stationery, and generally nerding out (in the very best way!) about beautiful paper goods and ribbons. Thanks again to Angela for inviting us to be a part of it!
